Anna Rabidoux, a resident of Colonial Gardens in Florence, KY since 2004, passed away peacefully on June 2nd at the age of 103. Anna was born in Winooski, Vermont on October 19, 1914 to Angelina and Henri Langlois. She was the second youngest of eight children – brothers George, Joseph, Arsene and Sylva as well as Sisters Alice, Eva and Ida all of whom have predeceased her. She married Wilfred Joseph Rabidoux who preceded her in death in 1968. Anna spent her working career in the textile industry starting at the American Woolen Mill and then as a very talented seamstress for Prudenzano, Robert Hall, and Shepard & Hamelle until she retired at the age of 70. When not working, Anna enjoyed gardening and maintained a large vegetable and flower garden until age 89. Her gardens were the envy of her neighborhood.
Anna led a very devout Christian life, her Catholic faith was extremely important to her. She was a kind person and was ready to help anyone in need – something she learned from her beloved mother. Anna is survived by her son and daughter in law Michael and Deborah Rabidoux of Burlington, KY, two adored grandsons Daniel (Karen) Rabidoux of Portsmouth, NH, Scott Rabidoux of Austin, TX and two great grandchildren Claire and Henry. A memorial service and burial will take place in Winooski VT at a date to be determined.
