Donald Joseph Votel, 86, of Newport, KY passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at t. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Thomas, KY. Donald was born September 10, 1931 in Fort Thomas, KY to the late Frank and Ella Votel. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Bobby Votel, Ed Votel, Marion Munninghoff, and Frances Nieporte. Donald is survived by his loving wife: Jean Votel, his beloved children: Don Votel (Dorcas), and Annette Tevis, his dear grandchildren: Angie Rack (Jimmy), and Taylor Tevis (Rachel), and his great-grandchildren: Ava Jean Rack and Jimmy S. Rack. A memorial Mass will be held for Donald on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, of Divine Mercy Parish 318 Division St, Bellevue, KY 41073. Private Interment of the ashes at Floral Hills Cemetery later in the afternoon.
