Jasmine Kapiolani Haughian Lefebvre passed away on February 8, 2020, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Jasmine was born April 23, 1986 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and grew up in Chippewa Falls, WI.
She was a delightful child who was profoundly curious about everything. Her nickname, “Jazzy,” suited her style perfectly.
Her love for animals was legendary and she forced her family to put up with a pet Chinese Water dragon for five long years. She loved horses and dogs and also had a pet ferret. In grade school, Jasmine earned the Presidential Award. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 2004. She swam on the swim team for many years. She loved visiting her family in Hawaii and going to the beach to surf. Jasmine had a talent for beauty as an art form and attended Ulupono Academy / Paul Mitchell The School in Honolulu Hawaii. Jasmine loved snowboarding, rollerblading, soccer, music, water sports, and cars. She had a special fondness for her nieces Willow and River. Her uncles and aunts and grandparents were a huge part of her life.
Jasmine had many gifts, but most importantly, a kind, compassionate heart and the ability to make friends easily. Everyone she met could not help but notice her strong spirit, captivating personality, and leadership qualities. She loved deeply and was in turn loved by family and friends. Jasmine’s joyful enthusiasm for living will always be remembered. May her short life be an inspiration to others.
Jasmine was preceded by grandparents Thomas and Jeanne Haughian and Roberta Wong.
Survived by grandfather Denis Wong, parents Denise and Richard Haughian, sisters Jade (Levi Theusch) and Rosanne Haughian, uncles Gary Wong (Kent Gifford), Bruce Wong (Marisol), Robert Wong (Irene), and Patrick Wong (Kehau), aunts Jane Haughian, Susan Kolstad, Darcy Haughian, Elizabeth Hasmuk (Delbert), cousins Cayce Kolstad, Blake and Brady Hasmuk, Bailey Rasmussen, nieces Willow and River Theusch, special cousin Brittni Woodward, many other uncles, aunts, and cousins. The family wishes to especially thank all of the friends in Cincinnati who helped Jasmine when she needed it.

I believe Jazzy may have been my very first girlfriend at Rainbow preschool. She was always a beautiful part of my life while growing up. From pre-school days, to high school days. I can remember being chased by her trying to kiss me at a Christmas party at Dick and Denise’s when we were only 3/4yrs old. I remember sneaking out late at night to meet midway at St. Charles playground and lay and look at the stars. May the Lord bless you Jazzy, and be with all us that will miss you so much.

I knew Jazzy in high school and her spirit was so special even then that I still think of her and remember her 15 years later. She will be missed!

I grew up a couple of blocks from Jazzy and was on swim team with her. So many of my childhood memories include her. She was so funny and so positive. She will be missed ❤️

I haven't seen Jazzy for many years but I did find myself thinking about her recently. So many years ago Jazzy told us all at swim practice that she had been putting lotion on her thighs and it was reducing cellulite. I laughed at that memory and it was just so Jazzy! To hear this news is terribly sad but I'm so happy that I have such fond and fun memories of Jazzy. My thoughts and prayers are with Dick, Denise, Jade and Rosy.
