Obituary

Maurine Kroth, 93, of Alexandria, KY, formerly of Highland Heights, KY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Seasons @ Alexandria. With her were her beloved Margie and Bill. Maurine was born on July 6, 1927 in Woodbine, KY to the late William and Carrie Rose. In addition to her parents, Maurine was preceded in death by her sisters: Marjorie Sharp and Billie Jean Ballard and her dearly beloved husband of 65 years: Robert “Bob” E. Kroth Jr. Maurine’s world was her family and that family grew with each new acquaintance. She loved and was loved by everyone who knew her. Maurine was a secretary at A.D. Owens School in Newport, KY for over 40 years. To thousands of kids, now adults, she was champion and friend. She could not go anywhere without someone calling out, “Mrs. Kroth, do you remember me?” Maurine leaves behind her daughter: Marjorie (William) Ruddick; granddaughter: Laura (Dan) Kirkwood; grandson: Robert (Polly) Ruddick and the apples of her eye, great-grandsons: Christopher Kirkwood, Robert Kirkwood and Teddy Ruddick. Due to Covid-19, a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. I am so sorry to see the death of my Cousin Maurine. It has been years ago that I have seen her. After Uncle Bill died I lost touch. She was 9 years older than me so we were not really close. Their were a lot of cousins and I think now only about 3 left.
I remember Marjorie but she was young the last time I saw her. I remember Uncle Bill telling me who she was/
To all her Family I am so sorry.
